Standard Shipping:

Orders will generally ship within 24 hours of receiving order (Monday through Friday). Orders placed over the weekend are packed and shipped on Monday. Orders placed on holidays will be processed the next business day and usually shipped within 24 hours. Shipping to alternate addresses will delay shipment. Please see below. Shipping to an Alternate Address:

You may request to have your order shipped to an alternate (non billing) address. In order to do this, you must provide all of the billing information, including a phone number on file with your provider. Please also including the CVV2 code located on the back of MasterCard and Visa, and the front of American Express cards.

PLEASE NOTE: Shipping to an Alternate Address:

Shipping to alternate addresses will delay shipment by at least 2 days. This is due to updated security issues concerning credit cards. If you need the item quickly, please ship the order to the billing address. Free Shipping For Orders Over $49.95:

Free Shipping For Orders Over $49.95:

We offer Free Shipping on all orders over $49.95 being shipped to addresses within the continental United States (lower 48). Orders are shipped via SmartPost with delivery dates ranging from 2-4 business days to the west coast and 7-10 business days to the east coast. These shipments are driven across the US on FedEx trucks and then tendered to the US Postal Service for final delivery. Orders over $100.00 are shipped via FedEx Ground with delivery dates between 2-5 business days. If you chose SmartPost, and your order is over $100, we will upgrade your shipping to Ground. Free shipping does not apply to Priority shipments. Make sure you take Free Shipping into account when comparing prices.

Shipping is a minimum of $5.00 on orders totaling less than $49.95.

Free Shipping is based on standard size packages and do not reflect oversize charges. Some oversized items such as large tents cost more to ship and have an oversize charge. These charges are in bold on the product description pages, and will also show in your shopping cart at check-out. Free shipping does not include the oversize shipping charge - usually around $10 - $20, so you will see that charge reflected at check-out. You will be notified before we ship your order if there are unforeseen additional charges.

Retroactive Shipping Charges: If your original order qualified for FREE shipping, and you return merchandise from that order keeping less than the original free shipping minimum, you no longer qualify for free shipping and your refund balance will be adjusted to reflect the original shipping charges that would have been applied.

Priority Shipments:

We will make every effort to ship all priority orders received by 12:00 PM Pacific Time that same business day. Shipments to alternate addresses will take longer (please see Shipping to an Alternate Address above). During Holiday rush periods this may not always be possible, so plan ahead. Any priority order not shipped that day, will be shipped the next business day. Weekend orders will be processed and shipped on Monday. Orders placed on holidays will be processed and shipped the next business day. Again, Holiday rush periods may affect ship times by 24 hours, so please plan accordingly.

We offer the following priority options: USPS Priority Mail with delivery time of 2-3 business days operating Mon - Sat FedEx Overnight with delivery the following business day by 4:30 pm operating Mon - Fri FedEx 2nd Day with transit time of 2 business days operating Mon - Fri FedEx 3 Day with transit time of 3 business days operating Mon - Fri

Please note that FedEx operates Mon - Fri, so a package shipped 2nd Day on Thursday will not be delivered until Monday. Also, a package shipped Overnight on Friday will not be delivered until Monday.

If you have ordered an oversized item and are requesting express shipping, please note that the rates can be substantially higher. If items that you have ordered are oversized, and you wish priority shipping, you will be notified by e-mail or phone of the actual charges. top of page

Shipping Kayaks and Canoes:

Kayaks are too large to ship via regular ground shipping and require freight shipment. Shipping freight to a residence is very expensive. Therefore, we give quotes to the nearest terminal which require pickup. We can also give a quote to a residence if requested. Once the order is placed, we will contact the shippers and find the best price to the nearest terminal and send you an email with this information. This email will include the actual shipping cost, as well as the address of the nearest terminal. Once the boat is shipped, you will be responsible for contacting the terminal to arrange the pickup. We are more than happy to give you a quote before you place your order. Please send an email to support@sonomaoutfitters.com including which boat you are interested in and your zip code. Otherwise, you can always give us a call at 800-290-1920 or 707-528-1920 between the hours of 9am and 5pm Pacific Time Monday - Friday. Please note that our Canoes are too large to send via our freight companies, and therefore at this time we cannot ship them.

Since we carry more than fifty models, we sUGGest attending one of our demo day events to try before you buy whenever possible. Events are held throughout the Summer months at Spring Lake, Santa Rosa, California. Our store is located in the heart of the California Wine Country, so you might even plan a vacation around a demo day!
